MAY 7, 2026 | NATIONAL SCHOOL NURSE DAY | NATIONAL PACKAGING DESIGN DAY | NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER | NATIONAL TOURISM DAY | NATIONAL BARRIER AWARENESS DAY | NATIONAL PASTE-UP DAY | ROAST LEG OF LAMB DAY
Hi Everyone,
Today’s calendar is a deep dive into the things we often overlook—the design of a package, the barriers in our way, and the people who keep our children healthy.
Here is your May 7th "Inside Look":
The School Guardian: It is National School Nurse Day. Between the scraped knees, the "I don't feel good" office visits, and keeping entire campuses healthy, school nurses are the unsung anchors of education.
The First Impression: Happy National Packaging Design Day! Ever bought something just because the box looked cool? Today we celebrate the engineers and artists who make "unboxing" an experience.
The Global Explorer: It’s National Tourism Day. Whether you’re a world traveler or a local "staycationer," today is about the power of travel to open our minds and boost our communities.
The Reflection: Today is the National Day of Prayer. It’s a day for people of all faiths to pause and reflect, seeking strength and peace for our communities and our world.
The Accessibility Check: We observe National Barrier Awareness Day. It’s a vital reminder to identify and break down the physical and social barriers that prevent people with disabilities from fully participating in society.
The Retro Art: It’s National Paste-Up Day! Before digital design, everything was done with "paste-ups." It’s a tribute to the hands-on history of the publishing world.
The Gourmet Dinner: To wrap it all up, it’s Roast Leg of Lamb Day. If you're looking for a reason to have a "fancy" dinner in the middle of the week, this is it!
The May 7th Challenge: Take a good look at the next package you open—appreciate the design! Then, take a moment to think about one "barrier" you can help remove for someone else today.

Best,
