Hi Everyone,
If you were looking for a reason to get off the couch, the National Day Calendar provides eleven of them. May 2nd is officially the busiest (and most fun) day of the spring!
Here is how you can spend your "Super Saturday":
Off to the Races: It’s Kentucky Derby day! Grab your biggest hat and your finest mint julep. Even if you aren't at Churchill Downs, the "most exciting two minutes in sports" is a must-watch.
The Hero’s Journey: Happy Free Comic Book Day! Head to your local shop and grab a story. Whether you’re Team Marvel or Team DC, today is about celebrating the art of the panel.
The Great Outdoors: We have a triple-header with National Play Outside Day, Start Seeing Monarchs Day, and National Fitness Day. The butterflies are migrating, the sun is out—it’s time to move!
The Crafty & The Hoppy: For the hobbyists, it’s National Scrapbook Day and National Homebrew Day. Whether you’re preserving memories or fermenting a new IPA, today is for the makers.
The "Bombshell" & The Sweet: Treat yourself for National Bombshells' Day (celebrating the power and beauty of women) and National Truffle Day. A chocolate truffle is the only way to power through all these activities!
The "Adulting" Moment: On a practical note, it’s National Life Insurance Day. It’s the perfect time to make sure your "just in case" plans are in order so you can play outside with total peace of mind.
The Helping Hand: Finally, it’s Join Hands Day, a day for the generations to work together on community service.
The May 2nd Challenge: Go outside, find a butterfly (or a comic book), and if you happen to be drinking a homebrew while wearing a giant Derby hat, you’ve officially won May!
