Hi Everyone,
We’re keeping the momentum going with a list that celebrates the people who keep our lights on, the words that move us, and the snacks that remind us of childhood.
Here is your April 18th lineup:
- The Snack of Champions: It is National Animal Crackers Day. Whether you eat the head first or go straight for the string-handle box, these iconic treats have been around since 1902. Take a trip down memory lane today.
- The Power Players: Today is National Lineman Appreciation Day. These are the brave folks who climb poles in wind, rain, and ice to keep our world powered up. If you see a bucket truck today, give them a wave of thanks
- The Written Word: It’s National Columnists' Day. We’re honoring the writers who offer their perspectives day in and day out. In a way, we’re all columnists now, sharing our daily updates and "hot takes" with all of you!
- The Portable Poem: Happy National Poem in Your Pocket Day! The idea is simple: find a poem you love, write it on a scrap of paper, and carry it with you. Share it with someone if the moment feels right.
- The Big Move: Get those sneakers on—it’s National Exercise Day. Whether it’s a high-intensity workout or just a brisk walk around the block, your body will thank you for the movement.
The April 18th Challenge: Eat a box of animal crackers for "fuel," then go for a 20-minute walk (Exercise Day) with a poem in your pocket.
