Hi Everyone,
Today’s calendar reminds us that life is a mix of the bold, the sweet, and the deeply significant. Here is how we are marking April 19th:
The Stinking Rose: It is National Garlic Day! Whether you’re roasting a whole bulb or just adding "one more clove" (which we all know means four), today is for the ingredient that makes everything better. Warning: Maybe keep the high-fives from the 16th at a distance today!
The Sweet Sip: Happy National Amaretto Day. This almond-flavored liqueur is the perfect "cheers" to the end of the work week. A splash in your coffee or over ice goes a long way.
The Ultimate Goal: It is National Hanging Out Day. In a world obsessed with "productivity hacks," today is your permission slip to do absolutely nothing. Hang out on the porch, hang your laundry on the line, and just be.
The Peace Garden State: We’re celebrating National North Dakota Day! From the badlands to the wide-open prairies, we’re tipping our caps to the legendary spirit of the 701.
The Moment of Silence: On a solemn note, today is Oklahoma City Bombing Commemoration Day. We pause to remember the lives lost in 1995 and honor the resilience of the survivors and the "Oklahoma Standard" of helping one another in times of tragedy.
The April 19th Challenge: Cook something with an "offensive" amount of garlic, then go "hang out" outside for at least 15 minutes. No phones, no chores—just you and the fresh air.
